Use dxl to add filter Rules to the Filtering dialog?

Simple question.  Are there any means of using dxl to add some number of Rules to those displayed by the Advanced Options pane of the Filtering dialog?

I can Add any number of Rules to the Advanced Options pane of the Filtering dialog and then use them to build more complex filters using AND, OR and NOT.  If I make the mistake of closing the dialog, however, I must start all over when I re-open it.  It would be extremely helpful if dxl could be used to populate the Rules pane.
